Head BD and Licensing in Switzerland

Our client is an innovative formulation developer with an outstanding technology platform. Further expansion of international partnerships and the continuous development of the portfolio are crucial for the future growth. The existing generic portfolio seeks to get strengthened with innovative formulations, ideally solid dosage forms of small molecules.

You want to

  • Be a real deal maker willing to take responsibility for the end-to-end process
  • Stay in the frontrow from sourcing, market mapping, negotiations till contract signature and delivery
  • Be responsible of the portfolio strengthening through partnerships, franchises, licence agreements and commercial proposals throughout the whole sales cycle

You are a seasoned professional, able to play a critical role in achieving strategic goals by building product pipelines through Portfolio Management and Business Development activities across different therapeutic areas. This role is a highly visible and impactful in the company with the potential to contribute significantly to our clients international growth strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate and pursue the strategic, clinical and financial prospects of new product/business opportunities from the generic side
  • Coordinates teams of experts to evaluate product and company opportunities
  • Being proactive member of the management team
  • Inspire colleagues and business partners with energy and ideas
  • Manage BD department with a licensing manager and oversee licensing agreements with business partners

Your Key Profile

  • University degree in business or life sciences
  • Commercial BD & In-Licensing experience in Pharma industry
  • Experience of negotiations of closed deals with high complexity of contract structure
  • Exposure to drug delivery technology and related business activity
  • Strong project management capabilities
